4th of July cakes!

Here is a 4th of July cake I made for family gatherings!  I actually made 2 of them, but they look exactly the same.  White cake in star pan. No filling.  However, I tried something new!  After I poured the mix in the pan, I did some blue and red food coloring in stripes and then took a knife and swirled in the stripes! So the cake mix looked blue & red & white after it was cooked!  It looked great when we cut into it!  The frosting is basic buttercream and I used stars to decorate!  I was pleased with the way they turned out! Very festive and very yummy!
